Recognized for creating wonderfully unconventional answers to design challenges, Heather brings an intuitive, yet intellectual approach to her projects. She began her interior design career in Greenwich, Connecticut working on hospitality and retail projects before launching HVL Interiors in 2001. Named one of the Top 20 designers under 40 in Mountain Living magazine, and in Western Interiors' Gold List of Interior Designers, Heather’s work has been featured in Hospitality Design, and she has appeared on HGTV. She is NCIDQ-certified, New Mexico licensed, a member of the New Mexico Licensing Board, and a LEED Green Associate. Heather graduated with highest distinction from the New York School of Design and received a B.A. from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland.
Gary has an extensive consumer marketing and retailing background which includes executive positions at national brands such as Johnston & Murphy and EyeMasters. His business knowledge and passion for product development and creating new retail concepts also led him to successfully launch several of his own entrepreneurial ventures. At HVL, Gary directs business operations, marketing and customer service, all of which are designed to meet the needs of our clients and support the company’s creative vision. Gary earned an MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Levia is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in interior design while serving as President of ASID’s New Mexico Student Chapter. She is also an active member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association and a volunteer with Design Santa Fe. Levia’s perspective on design, color and materials have been influenced by her travels to Europe and Central America combined with life in New Mexico and the Bay Area. At HVLI, Levia continues to research new and exciting products for our clients.
Steffany is a New Mexico licensed interior designer who began her twenty-one year interior design career in Dallas, Texas. Her design philosophy is creating sophisticated, well-edited, artistic interiors regardless of style. She is respected by colleagues for her collaborative approach, and revered by her clients for her personal, solution-oriented resolve. Steffany is NCIDQ-certified, and sits on the ASID National Board of Directors. In addition to a feature on HGTV, her work can be seen in the books How To Design Your Perfect Interior, Leading Residential Interior Designers, and New Adobe Home. She holds a B.S. in Interior Design from Oregon State via Texas Tech University.
Karen received her B.S. in Interior Design from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh and also holds a B.A. in Mass Communications. She has over twenty years of sales and management experience in the hospitality and health club industries. Karen brings her creative energy and passion for design to HVLI’s hospitality projects where she focuses on AutoCAD drafting, construction document management and purchasing. Karen is very active in the ASID New Mexico Chapter and is the co-chair of Design Santa Fe.
