"HVL interiors was selected due to their successful track record in hospitality design and experience with historic buildings, and indeed they instilled confidence in the process. We are excited about the new design which has been carefully crafted to build on the Andiamo heritage and reputation."

John Gillcrist
Proprietor, Andiamo!

Housed in an historically important 1880s bungalow, this Santa Fe institution is transformed and updated through a design that celebrates the restaurant’s rich culinary traditions, embraces its many long term patrons and ever growing list of fans, and honors an unwavering commitment to its community. A fresh and crisp palette of creamy whites, with touches of terracotta, caper green, and ink black evoke an alfresco Mediterranean dreamscape, accentuated by resonant old world artifacts, and works from a local artist. Playful elements, like a large wall mural, enrich the sense of comfort and care patrons expect, and combined with new decorative lighting, charcoal colored carpets, and even carefully curated tabletop accessories, immerse patrons and staff alike in an enthralling experience for people who love food. The designers’ considerable experience with historical buildings and heritage properties ensured the proposed design and its implementation went smoothly in one of the nation’s most stringent historical districts, while allowing for maximum flexibility in choices and final results.
